Hangover Sunday

Sometimes you've just got to get sooo drunk to remember why you want to be healthy again!

I almost had a night on my own, feeling fed up and sorry for myself, but then my best friend came and kept me company and we drank far too much alcohol. You've got to do it every now and then. We had some champagne and Bacardi with lemonade, played Monopoly, listened to music and reminisced about Ibiza. It was fun but I am feeling it now. Headache included.

Still, no regrets though!! All I've got to do today is put some washing on and do a bit of hoovering, but I might just lay on the sofa under my quilt and get Jim to do everything instead.

Now it's time to be healthy again. I started the day with porridge, dark chocolate chips, banana and almond butter. It wasn't as nice as it sounds to be honest. May have crumpets and scrambled egg for lunch and Jim brought home some steak to have for dinner tonight, mmmmmm.

I'm off to make a coffee and watch Sunday Brunch, ciao for now!

Mmmm more food

I've had some nice meals this week - one which was an amazing Roast Beef dinner cooked by Jim but I didn't take a picture.

My exercise has been going well. I've stuck to the Couch to 5k programme and we're now on Week 2. I think we'll have to do that one for a couple of weeks. As soon as I hit 1 minute running, I get so out of breath!

I never used to run at work, and 2 of my friends always tried to get me out. I never went as they were very advanced runners. they've both left now and one of them still works round the corner. Well, he ran past me the other lunchtime saying "I can't believe you didn't tell me you were running!" You caught me! Won't be signing up for any 'fun runs' for a long time.

I'm also going to try the Blogilates beginners plan, starting from Friday. I tried a couple of Cassy's short workouts this morning, and they were really good! Definitely check her out if you need something new.

Anyway, back to the food!

Week #2 Down!

I haven't eaten so well this week. I wasn't too bad, but I had a few social events and I still need to learn to control myself really...I had a bit too much cake (but it was all homemade, I had to try all of it!). I made sure most of the portions were smaller than usual, hopefully that will limit the damage.

I really enjoyed my sweet potato and spinach curry so will definitely be having that again next week. I will attempt to make banana bread at the weekend so I'll update you with how that turns out! Also, me and Dixie plan to start running from Monday- not sure how that is going to go...
